When Medication Isn't Enough: Other Treatments for Neurological Pain and Struggles

If you suffer from autoimmune or neurological pain, you know that regular pain medication doesn't always do the trick. The good news is that there are other treatments available that can help you get relief. In this blog post, we'll explore some of the options that are available to you.

October 17th marks 15 months of weird symptoms, body tremors, myoclonic jerk/seizures, tremors, shakes, cognitive decline, hearing and vision problems, brain lesions, headaches, numbness and more pain then I have had in my whole life.

Autoimmune and neurological pain can be difficult to treat because it is often caused by underlying conditions that are not always easy to manage. However, there are a few different treatment options that you may want to consider if you are struggling to find relief.

For years and years when my body feels the unease I naturally reached for natural products. Therefore, I want to share what I have come across that could support my health the best without using heavy medications that may cause more struggles in the long run. Here are a few that I will be trying when I finally get an official diagnosis and to help with my daily pain issues.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves inserting thin needles into the skin at specific points on the body. This is said to stimulate the nervous system and release endorphins, which can help to reduce pain.

Chiropractic Care: Chiropractic care focuses on treating disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Chiropractors use a variety of techniques, including adjustments, manipulation, and massage, to realign the body and relieve pain.

Physical Therapy: Physical therapy can help to strengthen the muscles and improve flexibility, which can help to reduce pain. Physical therapists may also use heat, cold, or electrical stimulation to help ease pain.

And one I am MOST excited to try...

Frequency Therapy: Frequency therapy is a type of therapy that sends electric current through the brain to help improve mental function. It is thought that frequency therapy works to help with pain by stimulating nerve cells. My eyes are on Wavwatch...a watch you wear that sends out frequencies to bring more balance and wellness to your body. If you're looking for an easy and convenient way to improve your health and well-being Wavwatch therapy is said to be very beneficial. It is based on the principle of energy medicine, which is the idea that our bodies are composed of energy fields that can be affected by external forces. By wearing a Wavwatch, you can take advantage of this healing principle and encourage your body to achieve a more balanced state. Feel free to check it out here and save $100.

There are a number of different treatment options available for those who suffer from autoimmune or neurological pain. If you have been struggling to find relief with medication, it may be time to explore some of these other options. Talk to your doctor about what might be right for you and don't be afraid to experiment until you find something that works.

Three tips for making school lunches your child will acually eat

We are almost a month into packing lunches and even the most creative parent can find themselves in a rut. If you're stuck in that rut already, never fear! These three tips and some yummy suggestions with links, will help you mix things up and make lunchtime more exciting for your kids (and less stressful for you).

1. Get them involved.
Kids are more likely to eat their lunch if they feel like they had a say in what goes into their lunchbox. So, ask them what kinds of foods they like and then get creative with how you prepare those foods. For example, if your child likes carrots, you could try serving them raw with ranch dressing, roasted with some honey and cinnamon, or even in the form of cute little carrot sticks.

2. Make it fun.
Part of the reason why kids dread lunchtime is because it feels like another chore on their ever-growing list. So, make it fun! Get yourself a cute bento box and use it to create fun shapes and designs with your child's food. You can also turn lunch into a game by hiding little notes or funny jokes inside their sandwich or wrap.

3. Think outside the sandwich.
A lot of parents default to sandwiches because they're easy to make and relatively healthy. But let's face it: sandwiches can get pretty boring after awhile. So, think outside the sandwich and get creative with other types of portable meals that your kids will actually want to eat. Some ideas include mini quiches, personal pizzas, sushi rolls, chicken wraps, even hot dogs or chicken nuggest and more!

Packing a school lunch doesn't have to be a daunting task! By involving your kids in the process, making it fun, and thinking outside the sandwich, you can easily create healthy and delicious lunches that your kids will actually want to eat.

And as promised here are a few things my girls like added into their lunches that will acually get eaten and not end up in the garbage.

Peace of Mind for our Busy Pets

If you're a pet owner, you know that they're not just animals - they're family. And when one of them goes missing, it's like a part of your heart is gone too. So when one comes back, whether it's after days, weeks or months, it's an occasion to celebrate! But what if we could take the worry out of the chance of our four legged (and furry) friend getting out?!

When we were looking at a new home to purchase, my cat Tye never left my thoughts. Moving to a new home and community can be a big change and stressful for pets.

Tye LOVES the outdoors. Loves chasing and catching mice and viewing the neighborhood activities. As a cat mom moving to a new area brought anxious feelings. A busy road, new neighbors, new everything...If my sweet boy got out I needed to know he would be ok.

That's when we went hunting for a tracker that would keep us notified if and when Tye got outside. We discovered the Tractive GPS!

This innovative GPS tracker attaches to your pet's collar and uses cellular technology to provide real-time tracking, so you always know where your furry friend is. It has you covered!
With the Tractive GPS app you can see your pet's current location on a map, set up safe zones, and recieve alerts if your pet leaves a designated area.  You can create activity reports to see how much excersize your pet is getting. Plus the Tractive GPS tracker is durable and waterproof, so it can stand up to all kinds of adventures.

I love watching our sweet boys' routine and will meet him at the door for special cuddles.

It is exactly what we were needed and has brought me and my family peace of mind knowing that our sweet Tye is safe with Tractive GPS.

If you are a worrier like me take a peek at this amazing, must have gadget for your loved furry friends and watch the worried melt away.

Ps. Isn't he the cutest in his special handsome collar?

My Favorite July Amazon Finds

July is coming to a close...a whole month into summer and what a month it has been.

The sun.
The fun.
The stress.
And the Amazon shopping 😬😆.

It has been a busy month. Packing up my home, moving into our dream home and saying goodbye to our home of 15 years. Trying to get to the bottom of 365+ days of weird symptoms, work, being a mom and just normal everyday life. It has been a roller coaster ride with ups and downs.

If you haven't noticed July also started a new adventure in affiliate marketing for me and with Prime days on Amazon it has been fun. I love challenging myself and learning new things, helping people find their next favorite product...and shopping.

So each month I will be posting my Amazon favorites of the month because when you LOVE something, you share it!

But before...

*Disclosure: I only recommend products that my family and I would use and love.  All opinions expressed here are my own thoughts and feelings. This blog contains affiliate links that are at no additional cost to you. I may receive a small commission from sales made through these links.

Slow down and make memories

Slow down and make memories
Do you ever feel like you spend all day with your kids but not necessarily connect with them?

Most days we run from here to there, doing this and that.

And living life.

It can be alot and before we know it we may realize we haven't connected with our loved ones...our children.

In this busy world we need to slow done and enjoy each other...because really we do not know what will happen next.

This morning I recieved some news that nobody likes to hear.

Hug the ones you love and make memories together.

Last October I accomplished a childhood dream and started creating and self publishing Children's colouring and activity books to help bring moments of connection between mom and child. My hope is that these books can help make beautiful memories.

Feel free to check my newest book here and connect with your child(ren) and connect!
